neighborhood songwriter showcase
every third friday @6pm
Once a month, we host an event at the Stones Throw Brewery where we feature three to four local songwriters, each sharing their unique stories through music. Enjoy handcrafted tunes and a selection of local beer, wine, cider, and ginger ale. Whether you're a music enthusiast, a lover of lyrics, or simply looking for a great night out, come support a rotating roster of local artists and non-profits. Cheers to the magic of music and the connections it fosters!
The third Friday of every month at 6 pm! Free! Family and dog friendly!
Doug plays guitar, sings and writes songs about local events, people and personal meanderings.
Denali is a new songwriter and artist in town specializing in indie folk rock. An upcoming Bellingham talent!
Claire is a multi-instrumentalist and songwriter based in Bellingham. Her music is influenced deeply by Celtic and Americana traditions, as well as the natural world.
Edlyn uses bouzouki, mandolin, and keys to accompany her vocals. She builds songs to engage the senses, the mind and the heart.
As a part of our dedication to the community that sustains us, we donate half of the proceeds from each event to various local non-profits on a rotating basis. Your attendance not only empowers these gifted artists but also supports important causes, infusing every note and chord with a deeper sense of purpose. Through shared commitment, we can create a meaningful impact and foster unity within our community.
This month we are supporting scholarships for the Puget Sound Guitar Workshop. PSGW was created in 1974 by a few people with a vision to create a summer music gathering.
Since that time, PSGW has grown to include three independent, week-long summer music camp sessions for adults. Designed for beginners to professional musicians, the camps offer a wide array of musical styles and instrument instruction. In addition to the summer camp sessions, PSGW sponsors several other events and camps, including three retreats held throughout the year, The Northwest Writers’ Weekend, and a Wonder of Songwriters Festival.
